My word for the year ‘participate’ is in there as a visual reminder to participate more instead of being a wallflower looking in from the sidelines. This is the first spread in my new artjournal I’m calling it ‘bear with me’.

Alan Alda on creativity

#3 – “Be brave enough to live life creatively. The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. You cannot get there by bus, only by hard work, risking and by not quite knowing what you are doing. What you will discover will be wonderful: Yourself.”

~Alan Alda (more…)

Polar Bears

#2 – “To draw you must close your eyes and sing”
~Pablo Picasso

Pink Clouds

For the whole of 2017 I will be participating in 365: Activate Your Art Brain (A Video Every Day). A year-long online class presented by Carla Sonheim. The plan is to make some sort of art everyday, inspired by a video prompt send to my inbox by Carla. I will be working in my special 365phew sketchbook (with regular “thin” printing paper, so that will be a challenge in itself). You can follow my progress here or on instagram.

Hopefully I will follow through with the whole year, I loved doing my 100 day project #100DaysofColorfulFaces
